How to Get CR and XP in Backseat Rally

Last updated:

Finish stages to build your credit balance and account level. Check your contract before starting, then use the Rewards breakdown to see which bonuses increased your payout.

Complete a stage to earn CR and account XP. Medal bonuses, First Gold, Clean Run, Daily First, completed contracts and level-up credits can add to that result when awarded. Open Contracts from the main menu, track the objective on the start panel, and check each row after finishing. One Alpine Pass result totals 454 XP and 592 CR, including its bonuses; that is not a fixed payout for every run.

Earn CR and XP by Finishing Stages

  1. Open My Garage and select Drive, or press Enter, to bring out your car.
  2. Drive into the stage's start box and brake to a stop with S.
  3. Press Enter when Start Stage appears. If the countdown is already running, wait for the green GO.
  4. Complete the route. After the finish, watch the replay or press Enter to skip it and open Rewards.
  5. Read the awarded XP and CR, then press Enter to continue or G to go to the garage.

Stage Finish is the basic completion reward. Other rows depend on what you achieve during that run or complete through your progress. Account XP advances the levels used for vehicle unlocks; CR is your spendable credit balance.

For start-box problems or multiplayer setup, use the stage and race guide.

Read the Reward Breakdown

Read the reward rows in the context of the stage and run. The entries below include a Pine Forest finish with Orso 4 and an Alpine Pass finish with Freccia HF. The medal, First Gold, Clean Run, Daily First, completed-contract and level-up amounts shown here belong to the Alpine Pass result.

That complete Alpine Pass payout is 454 XP and 592 CR, including the credits awarded for reaching account Levels 4 and 5. Add XP and CR separately; level-up credit rows contribute only to the CR total.

The 1,207 CR in the upper-right corner is the balance after settlement, while +592 CR is the income from this result. The separate With VIP +192 CR line is an extra-credit preview, not part of the awarded 592 CR. Do not double the entire result to estimate VIP: a settlement can include contract and level-up credits as well as stage rewards.

Use the reward calculator to total your own rows and, when relevant, add the explicit VIP extra amount.

Find Contracts and Track Their Objectives

Open Contracts from the main menu. Before driving, read the contract line on the stage's start panel: it can show both the objective and your progress.

  • Finish 2 runs on Pine Forest: complete that specific stage twice. A counter of 0/2 means neither required finish has been counted yet.
  • 2 Clean Runs: complete two runs that count as clean. This is a separate objective from finishing Pine Forest twice.

After completing an objective, look for its named contract row in Rewards. In the Alpine Pass result, Contract: 2 Clean Runs awards 120 XP and 150 CR, alongside a separate Clean Run bonus of 30 XP and 15 CR for the individual run. Both can contribute to one settlement; the ordinary Clean Run bonus is not the full contract payout.

Check the Daily First Row

Daily First appears in the post-stage Rewards breakdown. In the Alpine Pass result, it adds 50 XP and 40 CR alongside the other earned bonuses.

Count it in the income of the run that awards it. When budgeting for more runs, leave it out unless it will apply again; it is not an extra 50 XP and 40 CR to add to every finish.

Plan Runs Around Available Bonuses

Choose runs that advance an objective while earning the normal finish reward:

  • Check your contract first. If it asks for Pine Forest finishes, choose Pine Forest so your stage completion also moves that objective forward.
  • Work toward an achievable gold target. Gold Medal and First Gold are separate reward rows, so a first gold can make that finish more valuable. Check your current start panel and the gold medal targets before an attempt.
  • Estimate repeat earnings from repeatable rows. Remove First Gold after earning it, follow the Daily First rule above, and include contract payouts or level-up credits only on runs that complete those milestones.
  • Use account XP to plan your next unlock. The level and XP goal calculator helps turn your remaining XP and expected per-run XP into a run estimate.

A run that advances your current contract is a useful starting choice. Compare your actual payouts and completion times before choosing a route for repeated earning; the largest single settlement may include bonuses that will not recur on the next attempt.

Spend Credits and Consider Other Sources

Open My Garage → Crates to spend CR. Clubman costs 600 CR and is the lower-budget choice, with rims, road tires and gloves in its pool. If you specifically want rally rims and tires without gloves, consider Wheel at 1,000 CR. Use the crate comparison and budget calculator for prices, odds and purchase controls.

Credits can also come from duplicate crate items, which convert into CR. The Starter Pack provides a one-time 2,500 CR grant, while VIP doubles credits from completed stages. Starter Pack suits an immediate resource purchase; VIP is more relevant if you plan to keep finishing stages. Compare their contents in the game pass guide.

For cars with an account-level requirement, work toward the required level through XP. A level unlock is separate from spending CR on crates; check the account-level guide when planning your next vehicle.
