Backseat Rally Crates: Prices, Odds, Picks and Budget Calculator

Last updated:

Choose a crate for the items you want and the currency you plan to spend. Compare all three crates, calculate your purchase budget, and find the garage controls, pity guarantee and duplicate payouts.

Choose Clubman for the lowest price—600 CR or 49 Robux—and a reward pool that includes gloves. Choose Wheel for rally rims and tyres without gloves, at 1,000 CR or 79 Robux. Choose Works for the highest listed Epic and Legendary chances per crate, at 1,500 CR or 119 Robux. Open My Garage with C, then select Crates with 4. The calculator handles CR and Robux costs and budgets separately.

Calculate crate purchase costs and affordable quantities separately for CR and Robux.

Quantity cost = quantity × unit price. Affordable crates = floor(budget ÷ unit price). Budget left = budget − affordable crates × unit price. Calculate each currency separately.

  • CR and Robux are alternative purchase currencies and are not added together.
  • Prices come from the selected crate's listed unit prices.
  • The calculation excludes duplicate refunds, free crates and any unlisted discounts.
  • Affordable quantities are purchase counts, not rarity guarantees.

Which Crate Should You Choose?

  • Clubman: best for a small budget or a chance at gloves. At 600 CR or 49 Robux, it has the lowest purchase price. Its reward categories include rims, road tyres and gloves, making it the straightforward choice when gloves are part of your goal.
  • Wheel: best for rally rims and tyres without glove drops. It costs 1,000 CR or 79 Robux. Pay the higher price when you specifically want those wheel-related categories and want to exclude gloves from the pool.
  • Works: best for the highest listed high-rarity chances per crate. It costs 1,500 CR or 119 Robux and lists a 17% Epic chance and a 5% Legendary chance. Choose it when rarity per opening matters more to you than the lowest entry price. Those rarity odds do not identify the cheapest route to a specific item.

Prices and Rarity Odds

Each crate has a CR price and an alternative Robux price; you pay with one currency. Compare the listed rarity chances alongside the purchase cost. The pity guarantee also matters when reading these odds.

Calculate Quantity Costs and Your Budget

Select a crate and enter your planned quantity to see its total cost in either currency. Enter your CR budget and Robux budget separately to find how many whole crates each can buy and how much currency would remain.

Use the quantity result to price a planned purchase, or the affordable-count result to set a spending limit. The two budgets are independent alternatives, so do not combine their results into a single purchase allowance. The calculation uses listed prices and excludes duplicate credits, free crates and unlisted discounts. An affordable crate count does not guarantee a rarity or a particular item.

If you need more CR before buying, use the CR rewards and contracts guide to plan your next runs.

Find the Purchase Options

Have enough of your chosen currency for the crate, then use these garage controls:

  1. Press C to open My Garage.
  2. Select Crates, using the 4 shortcut.
  3. Compare the crate cards. Use Q/E to switch tabs.
  4. Use Enter for the CR purchase option or R for the Robux purchase option.

Press Backspace to close the crate menu.

The one-time Starter Pack also includes one Works Crate. Check the Starter Pack value comparison before deciding between the bundle and a standalone crate purchase.

Pity Counters and Duplicate Credits

After 12 consecutive crates without an Epic, the next crate is guaranteed to be Epic or better. This guarantee does not promise a Legendary item.

Check the “Epic or better in” counter on the crate card for its displayed countdown. Treat that number as the current counter, not a fixed opening cycle for that crate type.

If you roll an item you already own, it converts into credits according to its rarity:

Duplicate rarity Credits received
Common 50 CR
Rare 125 CR
Epic 350 CR
Legendary 900 CR
