Best Free Cars in Backseat Rally for Early Progression

Last updated:

Your next car should fit both your player level and the class you want to race. These early-progression picks help you choose a useful upgrade without spending Robux, with alternatives for earlier access or a different drivetrain.

Choose Freccia HF at level 3 as your first upgrade from Orso 4. For C class, favor Saetta HF at level 6 for AWD and higher power; Rascal S opens the class at level 5 with a lighter FWD setup. For B class, favor Kaze RS at level 10 for its AWD, 300 hp and listed 191 km/h top speed, or use Falke E3 from level 8 if you want earlier access or RWD.

Editorial early-progression picks without Robux, prioritizing unlock access and listed specifications within D, C and B classes.

Recommended Cars by Progression Stage

For progression without Robux, compare cars within the class you want to race.

Start with Orso 4 and finish stages to earn account XP. Your main upgrade targets are Freccia HF at level 3, Saetta HF at level 6 and Kaze RS at level 10. Rascal S and Falke E3 are worthwhile intermediate choices when you want to enter their classes sooner.

All six cars can be obtained through starting access or player levels. You do not need the optional Robux early-unlock offers. Use the account levels and XP calculator to plan your next unlock, and the car directory for complete specifications and selection instructions.

D Class: Freccia HF After Your Starter

Choose Freccia HF as your first upgrade once you reach player level 3. Its listed top speed is 177 km/h versus Orso 4's 149 km/h, and power rises from 75 to 130 hp. That makes it a clear early target while keeping you in D class.

The switch also changes the drivetrain from Orso's rear-wheel drive to Freccia's front-wheel drive. Freccia weighs 880 kg against Orso's 830 kg, so the additional power comes with a modest weight increase. Choose it for the stronger specifications.

Freccia HF can also earn gold on Alpine Pass, making it a useful car to keep racing after your first upgrade. Until level 3, use the immediately available Orso 4 to learn the roads and earn the XP needed to unlock it.

C Class: Saetta HF or an Earlier Rascal S

Favor Saetta HF at level 6 if you want AWD and higher listed power. It offers 215 hp and a listed top speed of 175 km/h, compared with Rascal S at 110 hp and 157 km/h.

The tradeoff is weight and access: Saetta weighs 1,200 kg and unlocks one player level later. Rascal S is a much lighter 690 kg FWD car available at level 5.

  • Choose Saetta HF when both cars are available and your priority is an AWD setup with more power and a higher listed top speed.
  • Choose Rascal S when you want to enter C-class races at level 5, or prefer the lighter FWD configuration even after unlocking Saetta.

Both have a route that costs no Robux. For free progression, the extra commitment for Saetta is reaching level 6; you can race Rascal while working toward it.

B Class: Kaze RS or Falke E3

Choose Kaze RS for B class when you prioritize listed power, top speed and AWD. At level 10, it offers 300 hp and 191 km/h. Falke E3 unlocks at level 8 with RWD, 230 hp and 178 km/h.

Kaze weighs 1,350 kg, compared with Falke's 1,150 kg. Its stronger power and speed figures therefore come with more weight and two additional player levels before the free unlock.

  • Choose Kaze RS once you reach level 10 if its AWD layout and stronger specifications suit your priorities.
  • Choose Falke E3 for B-class access at level 8, or keep using it if you prefer a lighter RWD car.

Kaze's higher listed top speed is a reason to favor it on specifications, not a promise of a quicker stage finish. Garage ratings likewise are not stage times; your ability to carry speed through the route still matters.

Match the Car to Your Race

Before choosing a car for a multiplayer race, open RACES with V and check the event's class setting. Compare it with the class currently shown in your garage.

  • D class: Orso 4 or Freccia HF.
  • C class: Rascal S or Saetta HF.
  • B class: Falke E3 or Kaze RS.

A later unlock does not replace every earlier car: Freccia remains a D-class choice when your next race calls for D. Race settings also include Any and Stock, so read the selected setting before committing to a car. Follow the race setup guide to configure or join an event.

For A-class options, consult Raijin G6, Kumo R1 and Ocelot R1 in the full car directory. If you specifically want the paid Orkan 9S, see the Orkan 9S game pass comparison.
